Aditi Vengurlekar is the artist behind Hues of Mind. She has always been fascinated with art and knew that she wanted to be an artist when she grew up. Her journey of art started when she was a kid, drawing butterflies and elephants with extremely large ears and out of proportion body to typical sunsets with mountains and a sun in between and then getting a formal art degree from prestigious college, Sir J.J. School of Arts, where her paintings matured to still life's, portraits and nudes.
Aditi is a contemporary artist who loves to paint with bold and expressive brush strokes. She is inspired by nature around her and portrays that on the canvas. She has always been my passionate about her work and wants to share her art with everyone through Hues of Mind.
Artist Statement
My paintings are a representation of nature and imagination. I intend to capture light, movement and play of color of vast skies on canvas. I want to pull the viewer out of a logical and common world, and place them within a dreamlike space that is more alive.
I primarily paint with oil colors and traditional materials. Each painting is comprised of several layers. The humongous skies with soft blended strokes contrast the cumulus, impasto textured clouds which thus prompts a surreal atmosphere. The huge clouds show how minuscule man is compared to nature and how beautiful nature is in all its glory.
The essence of my work is exploring beauty that is present in the nature around us. The energetic hues in the composition signifies hope, positivity and light on the horizon.
